This world-class resort at the base of Aspen Mountain is a great winter-sports venue, and offers an ideal spot to get away for an action packed weekend of skiing, snowshoeing even winter fly fishing at one of the resort’s exclusive water properties.
In addition to a 15,000-square-foot spa and fine-dining options, this 179-room resort has a complete children’s program designed to make pint-sized guests feel at-home. Children’s amenities include a special back pack with binoculars, a ski-trail map, sunscreen and lip balm; childsized robes; slippers; stepstools; and even pottie seats on request.
For adults, finely appointed rooms at the resort offer a variety of options including 24 suites, and rooms with fireplaces. Amenities include fine bed linens, in-room Internet access, 30-inch LCD televisions, and twice-daily maid service.
The resort is minutes away from four outstanding ski resorts: Buttermilk, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain, which is literally right outside your door at the St. Regis.
Aspen Mountain offers eight lifts and a vertical-elevation drop of 3,267 feet from its peak at 11,212 feet, to the St. Regis base elevation of 7,945 feet. The longest run is about 3 miles, and the trails are uncrowded and designed for the more experienced skier, consisting almost entirely of blue, diamond, and double-diamond runs.
Once you’ve given yourself a great ski workout, you’ll need to relax your muscles at the Remède Spa. The spa features a 24-hour fitness center, an oxygen lounge, 15 treatment rooms including couples rooms and a unique “confluence room” with relaxing warm and cold waterfalls.
