The Snake River Lodge & Spa

Snake River Lodge & SpaThis four-diamond resort, nestled in the Teton Mountains, is a wonderful place to get away this summer to golf, hike, or just sit back and enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery Wyoming has to offer.

TAlthough many consider this area of the country a prime skiing destination, this resort boasts a number of summer activities that make it a true year-round recreation destination. And best of all, the Lodge is just minutes from Jackson Hole Airport (JAC).

The Snake River Lodge & Spa features 88 guest rooms, each decorated with first-class elegance and all the comforts of home, and 57 condominiums that offer full kitchens, multiple bedrooms, gas fireplaces and spectacular mountain views.

The resort hosts one restaurant on the property, the comfortably elegant GameFish Restaurant, which features grand dining beneath a wood-beamed ceiling and a wine list that earned Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2004.

Snake River Lodge & SpaThere is also an abundance of local restaurants nearby, ranging from Rendezvous Bistro, which features a comprehensive raw bar and an array of seafood specialties, to the Koshu Wine Bar, offering a choice of more than 900 different wine selections.

Outdoor activities are really the hallmark of the Snake River Lodge & Spa, summer or winter. The Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club is one of the most visually pleasing courses you will ever find. Redesigned by famed course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., the 7,168-yard, par 72 course features spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains.

Less formal activities at the Lodge include a customized half- or full-day mountain biking tour of the area, horseback riding, hiking, and whitewater rafting down the scenic Snake River. There are also wildlife expeditions, which are four-hour, guided excursions into the wild, designed to help you better understand the delicate ecosystem of this part of the country.

Know of a great resort or hotel that makes for a perfect home away from home? If so, send us your feedback.

You can soothe your sore muscles at the Lodge’s five-story, 17,000-square-foot spa, the Avanyu Spa, which houses a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, as well as separate men’s and women’s floors for enjoying one of the Spa’s therapies.

Whether you look forward to a heart-pounding rafting trip, a polite game of golf, or a relaxing, full-body massage, the Snake River Lodge & Spa offers an ideal place to get away from it all without giving up luxury and comfort.
