The Ritz-Carlton at Laguna Niguel, a quick cab ride south of John Wayne-Orange County airport (SNA) features an uncommon, seaside elegance that can recharge even the most grizzled traveling family.
This unique resort features 393 guest rooms decked in luxurious fabrics, leather and wood. Most rooms feature private or semi-private balconies or courtyards; three Crown Suites feature wood-burning fireplaces and private dining rooms. This luxurious resort features eight dining options, ranging from the elegant formal dining room to the casual Ocean Terrace.
The Mediterranean-styled hotel is set on 18 acres of beautifully manicured grounds with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Below the bluff, you can collect sea shells on Salt Creek Beach, or indulge in the two outdoor heated pools, and two outdoor spas are on the property.
Although the Ritz-Carlton does not have its own golf course, the property is adjacent to the 18-hole Monarch Beach Golf Links designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Other courses include Pelican Hill, a Tom Fazio design with 36 holes, and the 18-hole Talega Golf Club, designed by Fred Couples and Brian Curley.
Four tennis courts are located on the property, with complementary use of tennis equipment for all hotel guests.
