The Naples Grande Resort & Club
Shake off the rainy days of spring, with a visit to this recently renovated, sun-drenched resort by the sea in always-sunny Naples, Florida.
The Naples Grande Resort & Club is an elegant yet familyfriendly resort that offers 395 luxuriously appointed rooms and 29 suites, many of which have their own private balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The resort recently opened 50 new and spacious bungalows, offering a casually elegant, two-room accommodation with an Asian-inspired design.
Activities at the Grande Resort and Club are everywhere; just look out the window. Three miles of unspoiled beach provide ample room to walk, swim or just paddle around with the children. As you would expect of the western Florida coast, this resort offers a wide array of water sports, including sailing, windsurfing and aqua cycles.
The resort has its own 18-hole championship golf course as well as 15 clay tennis courts, three swimming pools, a whirlpool spa, and a 100-foot water slide. There is also a 200-acre forest and natural estuary where guests can hike, canoe or kayak.
Just this year, the resort opened its elegant Golden Door Spa, a 16,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor spa village. This Zen-inspired haven of relaxation features 12 modern, Asian-style treatment rooms, a relaxation area, sauna steam and eucalyptus rooms. There is even a spectacular “Couples Spa Villa,” offering what the resort says is the ultimate in personalized, romantic pampering.
There are plenty of dining options on the property, including the signature Aura Restaurant and Bar, which offers elegant fare in a sophisticated atmosphere, and the Paradise Grill, a beachfront restaurant that offers salads, fresh fish and sandwiches.

Aura’s menu is elegant and light. You can tickle your senses with Aura’s signature sugarcane-lacquered halibut with coconut-infused jasmine rice couscous, baby bok choy and a citrus ponzu, and finish it off with mini desert “shots.” These are shot glasses filled delectable deserts such as coconut tapioca with wild strawberry and tamarind, or caramelized bananas with chocolate, or even lemon pound cake parfait.
If there is any place you can shake off the chill of Spring and bask on the warm, sandy beaches of Florida, the Naples Grande Resort & Club is it. And that’s why we’ve selected it as this month’s resort spotlight.
