The Cliff Lodge And Spa
Give your weary muscles a rest after a day on the slopes of the Snowbird Ski Resort by cuddling up in front of the fire at the Cliff Lodge & Spa, which is just a short walk from the lifts.
Snowbird has been ranked the top ski resort in the country for three years straight by the editors of SKIING Magazine. And the best place to stay while visiting this spectacular mountain range is its flagship resort, the Cliff Lodge & Spa.
Originally opened in 1973, this spectacular resort has undergone several renovations. It boasts a private ski locker and boot heater in each guest room, as well as three restaurants, two lounges, two swimming pools, and four hot tubs.
Accommodations range from 360-square-foot bedrooms with either a mountain or canyon view, to deluxe, 600-square-foot rooms, as well as one- and two-bedroom suites with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
There is high-speed, wireless Internet access throughout the propertyor if you didn't come to do work, check into the resort's full-service spa to enjoy one of nearly a dozen varieties of massage therapies, including our favorite, the "High Altitude Massage," which is designed "for those adjusting from sea level or suffering from high-altitude symptoms."
Dining options at the Cliff can't be beat. The Aerie restaurant, located on the 10th floor of the resort and featuring a breath-taking view of the mountains through 15-foot-high windows, has been voted Utah's most romantic restaurant. Its menu offers elegant American fare, ranging from a tenderloin of venison to a filet of beef or minted lamb chops with lemon parsley risotto.

For a more casual experience, visit El Chanate, which offers a family-friendly atmosphere, authentic Mexican food, and heart-warming dining by the huge stone fireplace.
The resort offers a state-licensed nursery for children six weeks and up, while older kids enjoy Camp Snowbird and enroll in snowboard and ski classes while their parents hit the more aggressive slopes.
And speaking of the slopes, Snowbird features 89 runs over 2,500 acres of skiable terrain. The runs are split evenly among advanced, intermediate and beginner skill levels, and the longest run is nearly 2.5 miles. Not a bad place to spend a day working up your appetite, and all of it is right outside your door at the Cliff Lodge & Spa, which makes it worthy of this month's resort spotlight!
