The Homestead Resort Fly-In Golf Destinations
Hot Springs, Virginia
When you step up to the tee at the Old Course, you’re walking the same path as presidents, princes and some of the greatest golfers in the world.

In fact, the legendary Sam Snead started his long career on the greens of The Homestead Resort, which ranks as one of the oldest and most illustrious spa resorts in the country.

Set against the backdrop of the Virginia’ Allegheny Mountains, The Homestead Resort was founded in 1766 – a full decade before Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence.

Today, you can enjoy the mineral hot springs that Thomas Jefferson said were “of the first merit” and play on three of the most impressive mountain courses in the world.

The Old Course, which ranks as the “oldest first tee in continuous use in the U.S.” has been redesigned several times over the last 113 years. The Lower Cascades Course features wide-open fairways and the challenging Cascades Course has hosted seven USGA championships. Best of all, those seeking relaxation can also enjoy the resort’s other recreational activities including rock climbing, rafting and falconry.
