ONE LIFES JOURNEY
After nine years as the supportive wife of world-renowned adventure photographer Galen Rowell, Barbara Cushman Rowell needed an adventure of her own, so she learned to fly. Once that was accomplished, she set her sights on an even greater challenge: flying more than 25,000 miles with her husband and brother in a Cessna 206 from Berkeley, California, to Latin America. In her new book, Flying South, she recounts the journey.
The book is an outstanding first-hand account of this exciting trip, accented by Galens stunning photography. Anyone who has traveled cross-country in a GA airplane will appreciate the knowledgeable and easy way Barbara writes about flying and life on the road.
Sadly, both Barbara and Galen were killed in a charter airplane crash a year ago, just four months before her book was published. Check your local bookstore, or visit www.tenspeed.com.

DO NOT PASS GO! DO NOT COLLECT $200!
The first Century of Flight has finally been immortalized in the worlds most popular board game, Monopoly. This collectible edition includes aviation-related pewter playing pieces, and traditional Monopoly board properties like Boardwalk and Park Place have been transformed into notable aviation properties ranging from World War II aircraft to commercial and popular private aircraft.
The goal of the game hasnt change much: bankrupt your opponent by forcing him or her to buy an aging, single-engine airplane with obscene annual costs. Just kidding. For more info, visit www.usaopoly.com or www.monopoly.com.
