David H. Freedman is a freelance writer and the author of three books, the most recent of which is Corps Business: The 30 Management Principles of the U.S. Marines. He has written for Technology Review, The New York Times, The Atlantic Monthly, US News & World Report. David is an instrumented-rated private pilot who tools around the skies of New England in a Piper Archer II. His wife, Laurie Tobey-Freedman, is a social worker. She holds a third-class drivers license and tools around the roads of New England in a Ford Windstar.
Phaedra Hise has written for various magazines and newspapers including Inc, Flying, Forbes ASAP, Glamour and Smithsonian Air & Space. She earned her pilot's license while in college, with her father who believed in full spin training as her CFI. Phaedra, her husband Bill Hargis, and 7-year-old daughter, Lily, fly their V35 Bonanza primarily on the East coast, from Richmond to Boston or Key West and points between.
Janice Rosenberg is a Chicago-based freelance writer. She has published more than 500 non-fiction articles and a number of short stories. Her work has appeared in Chicagos North Shore magazine, Advertising Age, American Baby, Good Housekeeping, Womans Day, and Worth. Janice enjoys flying around the country with her husband, who pilots their Cessna 210, and their German Shepherd, Reggie. The three routinely fly from Chicago to their second home in beautiful Moab, Utah.
Sue Irsfeld i s an award-winning writer and editor with more than 30 years experience in publishing. Sue began her career at Good Housekeeping, and she has written and edited for numerous publications including Network Computing, SCO Magazine, VARBusiness, Optimize, and most recently, Hearst Corp.s hugely successful O, The Oprah Magazine. Sue is a two-time winner of the Jesse H. Neal Award. She and her husband, Mitch, live in Oregon with their two teenage sons.
